The Credit System
Our clients purchase credits from the SEO Online store that can be redeemed toward the time our Engine requires to download your site's pages, or the pages a site of market interest to you.

SEO Pro Report — Two Phase Processing
SEO Pro Report generates reports by following a two phase processing model. Data Acquisition is the first phase, and Packaging constitutes the second phase. Data aquisition is the phase that most immediately impacts your ability to generate an SEO Pro Report for your site. This section contains detailed information about the SEO Pro Report Engine and suggests ways to make the data acquisition phase as smooth as possible.
The Acquisition Engine
The Engine is responsible for gathering live content off the web for processing a report package. It is important to remember that the Engine is not a browser . The Engine is written to be able to read about 99% of all content available on the web while not sacrificing speed and efficiency at gathering the data. Browsers are written for toward a different goal; their job is to display about 99% of the content available on the web. Browsers often support more than one algorithm for parsing information from a downloaded page; if one method doesn't work, the browser can "fail over" to an alternate method to try to extract meaningful information. The Engine does not contain as many fail-over methods so as to preserve its speed and efficiency.
The SEO Pro Report Engine attempts to do as good a job at downloading and parsing your information from the web as possible. Chances are that if you have a page that contains a problem that keeps it from being parsed quickly , you stand a reasonable chance that the page could be causing a problem for Google or Yahoo too.
Rules of Acquisition
The version of the Engine that is available for public use through this website is governed by a set of rules that determine its behaviour. If you have a project that requires a level of access that contradicts the public versions limitations, please contact us via phone. We may be able to run your project outside the general public queue.
- You must not have a 301 or 302 redirect off of the initial page the Engine processes.
If you instruct the Engine to start processing at http://www.yourdomain.com, but that address redirects to http://www.anotherdomain.com, because yourdomain.com <> anotherdomain.com , the site cannot be processed.
Many times, our clients have had several domain names redirect to a single master domain. In such cases, you should register the master destination domain for the Engine to process.
- The Engine does not process Meta Refresh redirects
If your initial page or internal pages contains a meta refresh redirect, IT WILL NOT BE FOLLOWED. If the page was processed with a 200-OK your credits will be debited for the download.
- Subdomains are not processed.
subdomain.domain.com <> www.domain.com. Subdomains OTHER THAN WWW are not considered to be part of their parent's domain. The only subdomain recognized as a special case by the engine is WWW. Thus www.mydomain.com = mydomain.com.
If you want to process a subdomain, you must enter it into the processing queue as if it were a different site.
- Pages that do not share the domain name given at registration for the report are not downloaded.
If you register http://domain.com as the entry point for the report, all downloaded pages will at least contain domain.com as a common root.
- Parsing issues
It is possible for pages to download correctly over the HTTP protocol but be unusable because the parser cannot read them as written.
- Mismatched angle brackets; i.e. having more < than > symbols in a document can cause it to be impossible to read.
- Script, comment, or style processing methods assume that script, style, and comment sections are formatted without extra leading or trailing spaces in the beginning and ending tags for each
- Databases and Dynamic Content
The public version of the Engine is always restricted such that urls with query strings are ignored.
The ungoverned version of the Engine can crawl databases to abitrary depth that are queried off of a GET request query.
- PDF Content
The Engine does not read, parse, or assess the content of PDF files. PDF's are considered to be unparseable by the Engine. This rule applies to the ungoverned version of the Engine as well.
- .gov, .mil, and .edu
The public engine does not crawl .gov, .mil, and .edu sites. Contact us if you have a .gov or .edu you'd like to process.
Packaging
The SEO Pro Report packaging phase simply processes the data encountered by the Engine and takes care of doing the necessary analytics to produce an SEO Pro Report.
